CAGCIB - Best in Varietät - nominiert Best in Show

Auf der Ausstellung war es sehr schön, es waren fast 1400 Katzen zu bewundern.

Meine Sweet Rose wurde von Beat Rettenmund, er war ja Schweizer und ist vor ca. 10 Jahren nach Argentinien ausgewandert, gerichtet.

Samstag wurde die Katzen bewertet, es waren 39 Devon Rex auf der Ausstellung zu sehen und Sweet Rose hat ihren Grand-Punkt sowie den Rassesieg bekommen. Am Sonntagmorgen war dann die Nomination und als ich sah, welche Katzen alles bei dem Richter zum nominieren mit dabei waren, dachte ich schon, daß es verloren ist.
Es war eine wunderschöne British Kurzhaar in schildpatt-smoke, sie war Weltsieger 2008 sowie Scandinavien Winner 2008 und eine Abessinier von einem Herrn aus München, welcher superschöne Tiere hat. Ich ging also zur Nomination mit dem Gedanken, das schafft Rosi nicht. Im Vergleich wurde die Britin zuerst weggeschickt, dann verglich er Sweet Rose mit der Abessinier.

Es ging hin, es ging her - und dann nahm er Rosi und hielt sie hoch.

Ich war vielleicht gerührt von dem Ganzen weil ich ja glaubte, daß meine Rosi bestimmt nicht nominiert wird.

Bei der Best in Show hat Rosi mit einer Stimme es waren 10 Katzen auf der Bühne gegen eine finnische Burmakatze in blau-schildpatt verloren. Diese Katze gehörte einer finnischen Richterin. Kann sein, daß diese Katze besser war, kann aber auch sein, daß die Richter die Kollegin bevorzugten, dies kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Also keinen 4. Weltsieger - aber trotz allem Supererfolg!

The World Winner cat show was very impressive and very nice with nearly 1400 cats present.

My Sweet Rose was judged by Beat Rettenmund, a judge that originates from Switzerland but who has been living in Argentina now for more than ten years.

Saturday the cats were judged, there were 39 Devon Rex to be seen at this show and Sweet Rose was awarded her Grand point as well as the Best in Breed.

On Sunday morning the judge recalled his best cats to figure out which cats to nominate, when I saw Sweet Rose’s competition I was sure she had lost already! Her two main competitors were a beautiful tortie smoke British Shorthair (the World Winner 2008 AND Scandinavian Winner 2008) and an Abyssinian female bred by a breeder who is know for his stunning cats.
I was pretty sure that Rosi did not stand a chance but after lining the cats up the judge first send away the beautiful British Shorthair and then it came down to a choice between Sweet Rose and the Abyssinian girl.

He looked, and he looked and he looked again but in the end he picked up Rose and held her high in the air! I was so emotionally involved that even at this moment I did not believe that it was my Rosi who was nominated!

At the Best in Show Rosi got one vote, with 10 cats on the stage, against a blue tortie Burmese girl who belonged to a judge from Finland. It could well be that this cat was better or that the judges just preferred a colleague’s cat, who can say.

So no 4th World Winner this time, however a super successful show nevertheless!
